How do Muslims deal with the fact that the Quran orders to kill infidels?
Alot of these questions are asked by people who have an agenda and want to believe whatever there desires tell them, to which I responded
Unfortunately, because of your sheer ignorance, 0% knowledge of the Arabic Language, or any real grounding of Islamic knowledge, you again fall into this ridiculous belief.
Firstly the Qur'an does not order any Muslim to kill any person, every verse has a context and a reason as to why it was revealed. In the science of Tafseer this is known as أسباب النزول Reasons behind the revelation....if a person wants to know why the verse says what is says then one must look at the أسباب Reasons behind that verse. In the science of Tafseer (Qur'an Interpretation) a verse in generally revealed for 2 main reasons
- الواقعة - An event which took place which actually cultivated in a verse being revealed
- السؤال - A question which was posed to the Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him, or any of his companions by either the Muslims themselves or the non Muslim Pagan Arabs at that time.
Thus, any verse which is revealed finds its root in these two particular categories as researched and verified by all classical Islamic scholars from the early generations to this very day.
So when a verse on killing is revealed, it is done on the pretext of Muslims being in a state of war, you will not find this except through reading Tafaseer (Qur'anic Interpretations ) and you will not find this in a simple English translation, impossible. Therefore, if you are truly seeking the truth you would ask a real Islamic scholar, I would never read the Torah in English then proceed to extract rulings on the basis of my own lack of understanding of the actual texts, and that is what is being done now.
So when the verse states Kill them wherever you see them, the verse is specifically talking to the Muslims who were at war with the Pagan Arab tribes, and they are being instructed to kill the enemy in a state of warfare, because if they do not, those very Pagan Arabs would kill them, it is not speaking about killing a Christian going about his business on the streets of Paris, New York, London, Tokyo or wherever it may be. And that relates back to all verses on killing.
And because that verse is based on an actual event, it goes into section 1 i.e الواقعةsomething which has actually taken place..... it is not a general Hukm (Religious Ruling) which requires all Muslims to kill. Stop this nonsensical thinking and look at the issue for what it is.
As salaam alaikum brother thanks for more insight on this issue. Kindly share a mail which i can reach out to you.
